The Byron Bay Film Festival team has announced an exciting partnership that would bring a select Byron Bay Film Festival series of sessions to be held at the Malfunction Surf Festival. The annual surf festival will be held in 2011 in Kingscliff 23-27 March.
The Byron Festival crew will showcase some of its best surf films that had shown what will be the then previous BBFF2011 held in early March. “This screening is right up our alley” festival Media and Technical Director Osvaldo Alfaro said. “The surfing category at the Byron Bay Film Festival is one of our strongest genres we screen every year at our annual festival. We pride ourselves on screening surf films that have much more to them than just perpetual tube riding. What we seem to be able to attract is Surf Film content that goes beyond that and really hook the audience with the a unique spirit that flows throughout all age groups”
