It’s about how the most angelic and beautiful of things from a distance, can turn out to be the most ferocious and evil things up close.

Karaoke Show
Germany / 4 min / Dir: Karl Tebbe / Experimental / 2007 / Australian Premiere
A mixture between sauna and disco, as a man imagines himself a rock star. Animators usually like to stand behind the camera rather than in front of it. At the age of 14, Karl Tebbe badly wanted to be able to dance like Michael Jackson. But you either have rhythm in your blood or you don't. Now, 22 years later, stop-motion animation has allowed him to finally fulfil his lifelong dream.
