Boy falls in love with girl but isn't sure how she really feels about him resulting in confusion, comedy and dreams. Billy is a senior in college who has never really had a girlfriend putting on a cynical facade and mocking other people’s happiness to pass the time. Feeling like he needs to change his life, he finally decides to sign up for a trip to the beach, which his roommate Johnny warns him is only for naive freshmen. This turns out to be true except of course for the beautiful girl. Megan, he meets on the beach. Billy is immediately smitten. As he gets to know the girl through more of his planned accidental encounters, his boyish idealism and naiveté begins to manifest itself, not the least in his increasingly subjective dreams.
