ENTHEO:gen - Awakening the Divine Within
USA / 70 min / Dir: Rod Mann / Producer : Nikos Katsaounis / Documentary / 2007 / Australian Premiere
Within a narrative framework that imagines consciousness itself to be evolving, Entheogen documents the emergence of techno-shamanism in the post-modern world that asks the following questions: How can a renewal of ancient initiatory rites of passage alleviate our ecological crisis? What do trance dancing and festivals celebrating unbridled artistic expression speak to in our collective psyche? How do we re-invent ourselves in a disenchanted world from which God has long ago withdrawn? Are the answers to these questions within the consciousness of every human being? Alex Grey, Terrence McKenna, Barbara Marx Hubbard and others, postulate how the disenchantment of the modern world may be remedied by summoning the courage to take the next leap in the evolution of planetary consciousness.

The Outback Eclipse Story
Australia/New Zealand / 50 min / Dir: Luke Robinson / 2008 / World Premiere
On the fourth of December 2002 there was a total solar eclipse. The shadow of the eclipse fell across the Atlantic Ocean, through the southern tip of Africa, across the Indian Ocean and into Australia where it left the earth’s surface travelling at a speed of 50,000 kms per hour. To commemorate this unique natural phenomenon a collective group known as Exotic Native staged a festival near the tiny town of Lyndhurst in the South Australian outback. They pay homage to the eclipse and bring together thousands of like-minded global citizens in the spirit of freedom.
