Haus Tumbuna is a socially engaged project and commissioned documentary film in Ulingan Bay, Papua New Guinea that documents the establishment of a self-sustaining, culturally specific timber surfboard factory within the local community. The project, founded by Nickolas Kirriwom and Nicholas Wynnychuk, aims to decolonize cultural impact, foster cultural revival and healing, and highlight the connection between community, culture, spirit, and the natural world through the sustainable practice of building traditional ocean-going craft.
