We Had Fun unfolds in Bordeaux on Christmas Eve, 1987. Siblings Linda (5) and Biram (9) live apart from their mother in Gabon, under the care of their older brother Roger (20). When Roger takes off for a weekend getaway, the children are left alone and encounter snow for the first time. What begins as a moment of wonder soon turns risky, as their innocence leads them into danger. Blending tenderness with tension, the film explores childhood resilience, the ache of separation, and the fragile bonds of family across distance.
