At 21, rising bodyboarding star Joel Taylor was paralysed by a wave at Hawaii’s Pipeline, ending his career and leaving him out of the water for 20 years. Struggling with loss and identity, it was the birth of his son that inspired Joel to reconnect with the ocean through adaptive surfing and a community of athletes overcoming their own challenges.
