AMERICAN DOCTOR is a vérité documentary following three prominent physicians from starkly different backgrounds - a Palestinian-American, a Jewish-American, and a Malaysian-American Muslim - who volunteer to travel into Gaza during wartime to deliver medical aid.

Each doctor arrives carrying the weight of their own identity into a warzone where medicine is meant to be neutral, but nothing about the environment around them is. Amid destroyed hospitals, overwhelmed staff, and a relentless stream of patients, the three navigate not only the physical demands of frontline medicine, but the moral and personal complexity of their own positions - bound together by a single, unshakeable creed: do no harm.

From Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Poh Si Teng, AMERICAN DOCTOR is an urgent, unflinching documentary that refuses easy answers, asking audiences to sit with the human cost of conflict through the eyes of those trying, against all odds, to heal it.
